Poor Tildy

This afternoon Tildy wasn't feeling well.  We checked her temperature, and it was 103.5, she also had rapid breathing and was trembling.  It freaked us out, so we ran over to InstaCare.  When they took her temperature, it was 104.2.  They didn't seem worried, so I held my breath and waited.  They gave her some Motrin and waited to see if her heart rate went down.  While we were waiting, they gave her an Otter Pop. It was her first popsicle, and she LOVED it!  It's a little tough to see, but her tongue is purple.  She was pretty upset when it was gone.

Her fever dropped and she was back to her old self by the evening.  We'll see how she does for the next couple of days, but apparently the number doesn't matter, it's how long she has a temperature that we need to be concerned about.

  1. Is she teething? Maggie would go to 105 and we'd rush over to Primary Children's so they could bring it down. Still completely nerve-wracking though.
