More Firsts

No more teeth yet, but last week, Tildy said her first word!  I'm a proud Mom that it wasn't "No!"  Believe it or not, it was "Quack, quack."  She's hilarious.  If you ask her, "Tildy, what does a ducky say?" she'll respond (when she wants to), "Quack, quack."  Upon reflection, it's probably the word that she's heard the most in her life.  When she was a newborn, the song "5 Little Ducks" was the only thing that would calm her down sometimes, so we would sing it over and over to her.  She's probably heard it thousands of times.  For those of you that don't know it, here are the words:

Five little ducks went out to play
Over the hills and far away.
When the mother duck said 'Quack, quack, quack,'
Four little ducks came waddling back.

Four little ducks went out to play
Over the hills and far away.
When the mother duck said 'Quack, quack, quack,'
Three little ducks came waddling back.

Three little ducks went out to play
Over the hills and far away.
When the mother duck said 'Quack, quack, quack,'
Two little ducks came waddling back.

Two little ducks went out to play
Over the hills and far away.
When the mother duck said 'Quack, quack, quack,'
One little ducks came waddling back.

One little duck went out to play
Over the hills and far away.
When the mother duck said 'Quack, quack, quack,'
No little ducks came waddling back.

'Til the daddy duck said 'Quack, quack, quack,'
Five little ducks came waddling back.

We're trying to get video, but she's stubborn... not news.

We did, however, manage to get video of Tildy signing "more."  We've been working with her off and on on a couple of signs.  Brittany, who takes care of her during the day, has graciously picked up the cause, and caught it on video.  Steve and I swear she says "more" while she's doing it, but we haven't heard that again.

We're so proud!!
