So it was a big day out for Tildy today. She got to head out to see the pediatrician Dr. Wirkus. We were all a big fan of Dr. Wirkus. Super nice, funny, gentle, and he confirmed that we have a beautiful baby. Since it came from a Dr., it must be true!
We got her all dolled up for her first trip out of the house. The dress (from Carter and Willow, thanks guys!) is awesome, but it looks like it could fit another 1/2 a Tildy in it. Its a 0-3 month, but I guess Tildy is a little too close to the 0 still. She sure did look cute though.
We got to the Dr. and first thing was the weigh in. She pulled in a big huge 5lb 14oz. If you are keeping track, that's down 9oz from when she was born. The Dr. said that is within the normal range of weight loss from birth and it wasn't a big concern.
The rest of the visit was great. He did ask us to supplement some formula into her diet until mom's milk comes in, but other than that he said she was healthy and looked great. After the visit we had to stop by the lab for a Bilirubin test because the last one at the hospital was at the high end of normal.
We got home had some dinner with Jess' mom and brother and received a call from the Dr. office. Tildy's bilirubin had gone from 9 at the hospital to 16 today, so they shipped over this awesome tanning bed for our little Diva.
Doesn't she look cute! Let the high maintenance behavior begin! Tildy doesn't seem to mind the box, but I think it may drive her mom crazy. Tildy has to spend three hours in the light box getting her light treatments and one hour out feeding and cuddling with dad.
We will get her tested again tomorrow and see if we can get her out of the box with a healthy tan.
The light box is miserable! Hopefully since you are giving her a littl eformula she will be out much quicker than Ian was. She looks cute in lights though!
